The centrifugal sieve is used to separate fiber (residue) in the cassava starch emulsion. It is widely used for cassava starch extraction in large and medium-sized starch production plant .

The grated starch slurry is transferred to the cassava starch centrifugal sieve feed pipe through a screw pump and uniformly enters the bottom of the sieve basket through the feed distributor. Under the action of gravity and centrifugal force, the slurry moves circumferentially along the screen surface and simultaneously moves toward the edge of the basket. Under the spray of the washing system, the fine starch granules are discharged through the screen during the movement, and the larger starch granules cannot pass through the screen and gradually fall into the slag bin and be carried away by the cassava starch centrifugal sieve slag pump.
